<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Ethernet port inspection system that allows the inspection of a plurality of Ethernet ports at a time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When receiving a communication packet including an address of an inspection port from an inspection device 90, a port connection information registration means 82 registers the address of the inspection port in a port connection information storage means 81 for each received communication port. An inspection information generating means 83 generates an inspection packet using the address stored in the port connection information storage means 81 as a transmission destination and using the address of a communication device 80 as a transmission source for each communication port. An inspection information transmitting means 84 transmits the inspection packet for each communication port. When receiving a packet for replying inspection results from the inspection device 90, an error detection means 85 compares the inspection packet with the packet for replying the inspection results so as to detect the presence of errors in the communication port.
