METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LEAD STORAGE BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a compact and light lead storage battery with a long trickle charging life.

SOLUTION: A non-formed paste type positive electrode plate and a non-formed paste type negative electrode plate are laminated with a separator in-between and a dilute sulfuric acid electrolyte solution is poured and formation of a battery case to obtain the lead storage battery is carried out. Here, against the lead powder in an active material of the paste type positive electrode plate, 5 to 30 mass% of monobasic lead sulfate is added, while 0.05 to 1.0 mass% of phosphoric acid is added to the dilute sulfuric acid electrolyte solution.
