PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casing easy in thickness and weight reductions, having high dimensional stability, and capable of improving strength, flame retardancy and processing yield, and to provide a method for forming the casing. SOLUTION: The method for forming the casing includes: a step of stacking a plurality of resin sheets 20, 30 and 40 containing at least one sheet of a resin sheet 30, in which a plurality of pores 32 are formed, to form a multi-layered resin sheet 50; and a step of press molding the multi-layered resin sheet 50 to form the casing 10 in which the plurality of the pores 32 are formed.
