<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool preventing deposition of cutting chips sequentially generated during machining a workpiece, and collecting cutting chips with high efficiency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The machine tool 1 includes a cutting chips collecting apparatus for collecting cutting chips K generated during machining a work W with a tool 11. The cutting chips collecting apparatus is provided with: a cutting chips receiving part 60 mounted in the vicinity of a position at which a work is machined and receiving cutting chips; an attraction part 90 disposed on the rear side of the cutting chip receiving part and attracting the cutting chips received by the cutting chips receiving part onto a front side 61 of the cutting chips receiving part by a magnetic force; and guide parts 70, 75, 80 moving the attraction part on the rear side and guiding the cutting chips K attracted onto the front side 61 by the attraction part to a cutting chips collecting position 100.
