<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus capable of inhibiting deterioration of the image quality caused by the overflow and the cost increase caused by the high-speed reading. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus 1 includes: an X-ray irradiation device 3c for irradiating a subject M with X rays; an X-ray detecting device 3e for detecting the dose of X rays transmitting the subject M with a plurality of X-ray detecting elements for detecting X rays disposed in a reticular pattern; rotation mechanisms 3a and 3b for rotating the X-ray irradiation device 3c and the X-ray detecting device 3e with the subject M in-between to change the projection angle to the subject M; and a data collection device 3f for collecting X-ray projection data corresponding to different projection angles based on the dose of X rays, and collecting X-ray transmission data by changing a group of detecting elements whenever the projection angle is changed.
