PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a towel in which a towel having an arbitrary size and form can be cut and produced without considering size or form of the towel in the step of producing an original fabric, and in which two sides of the produced towel are difficult to distinguish because the touch is smooth and not dry. SOLUTION: The towel resemblance has a towel body comprised only of piled composition. In the towel body, (1) snuggling threads are set along the edge of the towel up or down. (2) Using an overlock sewing machine, almost all the circumference of the towel body and the snuggling threads are oversewn. Width of the oversewing is the same as that of the snuggling threads. The pitch of the oversewing is narrowed down not so as to be seen the snuggling threads when the oversewing is finished. (3) With a needle string of the overlock sewing machine, the snuggling threads are sewn near the edge of the towel body. The towel has the composition for edge treatment to stop fraying.
