The invention relates to a mould (1) for making vessels (9) by blowing preforms made of a plastic material, having a body (13) and a bottom (14), said mould (1) having a wall (2) defining a cavity (3) distributed about a main axis (4) of the mould (1) and having a side surface (17) adapted for imparting its shape to the body (13) of the vessel (9), said wall (2) having in a lower portion thereof an opening (5) defining a passage for a mould bottom (6) having an upper surface (7) adapted for imparting at least partially its shape to the bottom (14) of the vessel (9), said opening (5) having an upper edge (22), mould in which, in any plane containing the axis (4) of the wall (2), the ratio between a dimension (B) transverse to the upper edge (22) of the opening (5) and a dimension (A) transverse to a lower end (21) of the side surface (17) of the wall (2) is higher than 0.95, and the tangent to the side surface (17) of the wall (2) at the lower end (21) thereof defines with the axis (4) of the wall (2) an angle (a) lower than or equal to 30°.
