The invention relates to a security material having a web-like interlaced fabric and insu-lated, electrically conductive wires integrated therein. Provision is made for a first wire to be arranged in the longitudinal direction of the web-like interlaced fabric and for a sec-ond wire to extend in a meandering manner across the width of the web-like interlaced fabric in the longitudinal direction thereof.
