PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connecting device having a simple structure, in which contact posture can be retained stably, contact pressure and sliding amount are easily adjustable, and exchange can be easily carried out also. SOLUTION: In the electrical connecting device, two contacted materials are electrically connected, in which a pressing member, a locking member that retains one contacted material at a prescribed mounting position via the pressing member, a base member mounted with the two contacted materials, an elastic member retained by the base member and a plurality of contacts retained by the base member are equipped. The base member includes the upper base member and the lower base member having a housing recess to house the elastic member respectively, and the elastic member includes slits to retain a plurality of contacts respectively, in which each of the plurality of contacts includes at least the upper contact arm having the upper contact part, and the lower contact arm having the lower contact part, while respective upper and lower contact arms of the plurality of contacts are constituted capable of abutting on the elastic member.
