PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor reducing contact resistance between a current collecting plate and a terminal plate or between the current collecting plate and an exterior case. SOLUTION: The capacitor has a structure in which the current collecting plates 2a, 2b are bonded so as to be interposed between the element 1 and the terminal plate 3 or between the element 1 and the inner bottom of the exterior case 4, and a recess 6 is provided at a position where the current collecting plates 2a, 2b and ends 1a, 1b of the element 1 are welded on the rear surface of a surface where the current collecting plates 2a, 2b and the element 1 are bonded. With this configuration, the rise of a part of a welding portion which occurs due to welding the current collecting plates 2a, 2b and the element 1 can be blocked inside the recess 6, and a gap generated in bonding the current collecting plate 2a and the terminal plate 3 can be reduced. Thus, contact resistance between the current collecting plate 2a and the terminal plate 3 or between the current collecting plate 2b and the exterior case 4 can be reduced.
