The transport and supply of hydrocarbons and byproducts carried out by means of ducts must be performed in a safe and reliable manner in the oil industry, so that the present invention discloses a detection and localisation system of hydrocarbon of clandestine inlets in ducts for transporting hydrocarbons regardless of the operation phase being performed; the system includes the electric impedance or electric strength technique. The inventive system comprises a sensor cable, which includes an arrangement of several wires connected in parallel therebetween, the cable strength being quite accurate per each applied meter; also includes a layer of steel wood and a glued paper located between the wires and the steel wood, as an insulating material for providing flexibility to the whole system, said arrangement being covered by two layers of a plastic film (polyethylene), said wire avoiding and detecting clandestine inlets in ducts for transporting hydrocarbons.
