<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for outputting a sheet with an RFID tag for easily understanding that an RFID tag has been invalidated. <P>SOLUTION: An MFP 100 detects the insertion of a sheet 60, and tries to communicate with an RFID tag 61 by using the detection as a chance. When the RFID tag 61 is detected, data stored in the RFID tag 61 are invalidated. After the RFID tag 61 is invalidated, an image indicating that the RFID tag 61 has been invalidated is printed on a sheet 60 inserted into the MFP 100.
