PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Mo saving type ferritic stainless steel for an automotive exhaust system member which can obtain corrosion resistance after heating and workability equal to or above those of SUS436J1L (17Cr-0.5Mo series) without comprising Mo. SOLUTION: The Mo saving type ferritic stainless steel for an automotive exhaust system member having excellent corrosion resistance after heating has a composition comprising, by mass, ≤0.015% C, 0.10 to 0.50% Si, 0.05 to 0.50% Mn, ≤0.050% P, ≤0.0100% S, ≤0.015% N, 0.010 to 0.100% Al and 16.5 to 22.5% Cr, further comprising one or two kinds selected from 0.03 to 0.30% Ti and 0.03 to 0.30% Nb, further comprising one or more kinds selected from 0.05 to 1.00% Sn and 0.05 to 1.00% Sb, and, if required, further comprising one or more kinds selected from 0.05 to 0.50% Cu, 0.05 to 0.50% Ni and 0.0005 to 0.0050% B.
