<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a recording at a higher scanning-speed without lowering the resolution of input image data in a recorder. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a block of four pixels (pixels of data A, B, C and D) continuously arranged in main-scan direction with the resolution of 300 dpi, the second data (B) and fourth data (D) are moved to the lower side of the sub-scan direction of the first pixel (data A) and the third pixel (data C) while the data (B, D) moved to the lower side of the sub-scan direction are moved to the right side of the main scan direction by the distance of 300 dpi. Thereby, the even-numbered pixel train (data B, D) is arranged at a position shifted to the right side of the odd-numbered pixel train (data A, C) by the distance of 300 dpi. Thereby, each nozzle train is actuated in the position with the space of 150 dpi while being actuated by the distance gap of 300 dpi of half of the distance of 150 dpi relatively.
