PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check an operation state of an air operation valve. SOLUTION: A method of diagnosing an air operation valve to check an operation state of the air operation valve 10 includes: a prior process for measuring and recording sound generated in opening/closing when an AE sensor 2 is brought into contact with the air operation valve 10 for supplying an operation fluid to an operation port 7 of the air operation valve 10 in an initial state of the air operation valve 10, or when the operation fluid is exhausted; a first process for measuring and recording sound generated in opening/closing when the AE sensor 2 is brought into contact with the air operation valve 10 for supplying the operation fluid to the operation port 7 of the air operation valve 10 after repetitive operation of the air operation valve 10, or when the operation fluid is exhausted; and a checking process for checking a change in the operation state of the air operation valve 10 by comparing the value measured in the first process with the value measured in the prior process.
