PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition that can be used for a tread to supply a tire excellent in low heat build-up property and wet grip performance. SOLUTION: The rubber composition includes a rubber component containing 5 wt.% or more of a modified styrene-butadiene rubber, which has a constitutional unit derived from a nitrogen-containing compound represented by general formula in a main chain, per 100 wt.% of the rubber component; and 10-150 pts.wt. of silica per 100 pts.wt. of the rubber component. In the general formula, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are hydrogen or a specific nitrogen-containing group, and at least one of R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>is not hydrogen. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
