The box has a clutch for distributing torque to output shafts (16, 18), and a displacement drive inserted between the clutch and one of the output shafts (18). A gear wheel (20) is plunged into an oil sump of the gear and is partially enclosed by a tub-shaped shielding element (40). The shielding element is connected to a section of the wheel. The shielding element includes a peripheral section that is arranged between side walls (42) of the element. The walls are fixed to the section of the wheel. The wheel is provided with inner and outer ring-parts in radial direction.
