The device (10) has a pressure transmission pipe arranged between a pressure sensor (12) and a container. The pressure transmission pipe is partially filled with a seal liquid for pressure averaging between tar-loaded gas and the pressure sensor. A heater (18) heats a longitudinal section of the pressure transmission pipe and extends from an end section (20) of the pressure transmission pipe up a surface layer of a pressure transmission liquid (16). The end section faces the pressure sensor, where the pressure transmission liquid is in direct contact with the gas. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring of pressure of tar-loaded gas of high temperature present in a container.
