NOVEL PROSTAGLANDIN E1 DERIVATIVE, AND NANOPARTICLE HAVING SAME ENCAPSULATED THEREIN

The object is to provide a PGE1 derivative having excellent duration of action of PGE1 and excellent slow release properties, and to prepare nanoparticles of the PGE1 derivative to provide PGE1-derivative-containing nanoparticles which can target at an affected area efficiently, has excellent slow drug release properties, and has reduced adverse side effects. Disclosed is a prostaglandin E1 derivative represented by formula (I) [wherein n represents an integer of 1 to 12].  Also disclosed are nanoparticles containing the prostaglandin E1 derivative, which is produced by hydrophobizing the prostaglandin E1 derivative with a metal ion and reacting the resulting product with a poly (L-lactic acid) or a poly (L-lactic acid/glycolic acid) copolymer and a poly(DL- or L-lactic acid)-(polyethylene glycol) block copolymer or a poly (DL- or L-lactic acid/glycolic acid)-(polyethylene glycol) block copolymer.
