PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display apparatus is provided to suppress texture of a liquid crystal, thereby improving transmittance and response speed. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate(101) comprises a lower plate(105) and a pixel electrode(170). The pixel electrode has the first and second slits. An opposing substrate(201) comprises an upper plate(205) and a common electrode(270). The upper substrate is opposite to the lower substrate. The common electrode has the third slit. The third slit is located in the first slit.
