PURPOSE: An opening and closing device for a portable terminal is provided to have one end of an elastic unit in a fixing unit and have the other end in a mobile unit, thereby slimming thickness of the opening and closing device. CONSTITUTION: A fixing unit(110) forms a settling groove(113) on the first unit. A moving unit forms a mobile hole and a guide hole for connecting with the fixing unit. One end of an elastic unit(170) is rotatably received in the settling groove. The other end of the elastic unit is movably connected to the mobile hole. The elastic unit provides elastic power to the second unit.
