<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force distribution controller that performs control for outputting the driving force required by a driver, with smaller pollutant emissions. <P>SOLUTION: The driving force distribution controller for use with a vehicle driven by a driving force from at least one of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, includes a first calculation system for calculating pollutant emissions when the internal combustion engine is driven, and a second calculation system for calculating pollutant emissions during a process in which electric power to be consumed when the electric motor is driven is generated. Environmental pollutant emissions, which are the total of a value based on the pollutant emissions calculated by the first calculation system and a value based on the pollutant emissions calculated by the second calculation system when the internal combustion engine and/or the electric motor output the required driving force for the vehicle at a plurality of different distribution ratios, are derived. The environmental pollutant emissions at the plurality of different distribution ratios are compared and the distribution ratio at which the environmental pollutant emissions are minimized is selected. Based on the distribution ratio selected, each drive of the internal combustion engine and the electric motor is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
