<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel where the sealing degree is improved and a high dust proof and drip proof effect is obtained by arranging a touch pad, and vibration occurring during operation is prevented and image blurring is reduced because a turning/operating member for performing turning/operating is not arranged. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This lens barrel has a mirror frame for holding a lens group and a motor for moving the mirror frame. The lens barrel includes a control section for controlling the movement of the mirror frame arranged in the lens barrel, and a contact type detection member for detecting movement of a finger. The contact type detection member sends a signal of the movement to the control section. The control section calculates moving direction, moving amount, and moving speed of the finger based on the signal of the movement sent from the contact detection member, and performs processing of moving the mirror frame to the optical axis direction based on the moving direction, moving amount, and moving speed.
