METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY LUBRICATING ROUND BARS IN STACKED CONDITION, AND METHOD FOR ELIMINATING STACKED CONDITION OF ROUND BARS

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically applying a coat of lubricant to a lower portion of a round bar of a lowest stage in a stacked condition without separately installing a large oil bath so that a heap of round bars in the stacked condition is collapsed and aligned when charging round bars such as a round billet and a steel tube in a heating furnace, and to provide a method for collapsing the heap of round bars in the stacked condition and aligning the bars. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A case 1 having a roller 2 containing lubricant shown in Fig.1 therein is installed on a conveyor 5a on the upstream side on the extension of a stacked condition eliminating device 7 between the upstream side conveyor 5a and a downstream side conveyor 5b. When round bars 10 are abutted on the roller 2 in the case 1 by the drive of the conveyor, the roller 2 containing lubricant is rotated to easily eliminate the stacked condition while lubricating a portion in contact with the stacked condition eliminating device 7 of the round bars 10.
