<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake reminder system capable of preventing alarm sounding in a situation in which the alarm is unnecessary. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control unit 7 includes a determination means to determine that a brake has been left unapplied: either when an engine state detection section 1 detects an OFF state of an engine, a door state detection section 2 detects a door closed state with a count memory 3 having detected a lapse of certain time after the engine is turned OFF, a shift position detection section 4 detects a neutral position, and a brake state detection section 5 detects an OFF state of the brake; or when the engine state detection section 1 detects the OFF state of the engine, the door state detection section 2 detects a door open, the shift position detection section 4 detects the neutral position, and the brake state detection section 5 detects the OFF state of the brake.
