<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated ceramic electronic component having higher moisture-resistant reliability and an external terminal electrode best suited for thinning. Ž<P>SOLUTION: External terminal electrodes 9 and 10 have a plated film 17 for directly covering exposed areas 14 and 15 of internal electrodes 12 and 13 at end surfaces 7 and 8 of a ceramic element body 2. A rounded corner 16 is formed at the boundary between end surfaces 7 and 8 and principal surfaces 3 and 4 of the ceramic element body 2 wherein the plated film 17 is formed so that its end remains at the corner 16 and is not protruded out of the principal surfaces 3 and 4.
