A method of manufacturing a terminal fitting-equipped electric wire (10), the terminal fitting-equipped electric wire (10) being provided with an electric wire (11) having a core wire (13) consisting of element wires (15), and also with a female terminal fitting (12) having a wire barrel (19) crimped to the core wire (13) exposed from the electric wire (11).  The method comprises a step of peeling off, in order to expose the core wire (13), an insulative coating (14) covering the outer peripheral surface of the core wire (13), a step of applying ultrasonic vibration to the exposed core wire (13) by a pair of jigs (16, 16) with the core wire (13) clamped by the jigs (16), and a step of crimping the wire barrel (19) such that the wire barrel (19) is wound, from the outside, around those regions of the core wire (13) which include the region to which the ultrasonic vibration is applied.
