PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting tool for counter which is excellent in designability because the fixing section of the supporting tool for counter is not conspicuous when a counter top board is set, and to provide a counter using the supporting tool for counter. SOLUTION: This supporting tool 3 for counter supports the counter top board 2 which is installed in a manner to be vertically projected to a wall surface 11 from below. The supporting tool 3 for counter consists of the fixing section 5 which is fixed to the wall surface, and a supporting section 4 which is horizontally extended from the fixing section and supports the lower surface of the counter top board. The proximal section 40 on the wall surface side of the supporting section is formed to be wider than the extension (41). The fixing section is formed to be shorter than the supporting section, and at the same time, is formed to be continued from the proximal section of the supporting section with the same width.
