PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce image data in an interesting reproduction order by sorting a number of image data in accordance with characteristics of audio data specific for a subject through simple processing, and arranging the image data in an order from the most remarkable characteristics to be reflected on the reproduction order. SOLUTION: A digital camera 100 has: a frequency analysis section 106 for analyzing a frequency of audio data 104A-104D related to image data 102A-102D; an audio determination section 110 for determining characteristic information 108A-108D of the audio data including the gender of a speaking person; a correlation section 112 for making the characteristic information correspond to each of one or more image data items; an image selection section 116 for selecting reproduction target image data to be reproduced from among one or more image data items on the basis of the characteristic information correlated thereto; and a reproduction control section 118 for reproducing the selected reproduction target image data on an LCD 380.
