摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the formation of high oil film pressure easy over the entire circumference of a journal by permitting the adjustment of a gap between the journal and tilting pads, which are arranged at the upper side of the journal and to which the self weight of the journal is not added. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A rotating structure having a journal bearing 10, which includes a plurality of pads 40 arranged rockably in an annular bearing housing 30 to support a journal j so as to allow self-alignment, is structured to supply a lubricating oil between the pads and the journal j. In this structure, spring members 80, which give an elastic force that urges the downstream side part of the upper pads to the journal side, are provided between the inside surfaces of bearing housing and the back surfaces of the upper pads at the downstream side part of the journal of the upper pads in the rotational direction in the bearing housing 30a, which supports the upper pads 40a-b arranged at the upper position where the self weight of the journal j is not applied.
