<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage of an elevator allowing an easy connecting work of a wall of the cage to a skirting stand in a short time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a wall connecting part 4b of the skirting stand 4, a rectangular insertion hole 4d passing through the wall connecting part 4b is provided. A lower end part of the wall 2 of the cage is connected to the wall connecting part 4b. A pin 7 is fixed to the lower end part of the wall 2 of the cage. The pin 7 is inserted into the insertion hole 4d. In a portion projecting downward from the wall connecting part 4b of the pin 7, a hook-shaped coming-off prevention engaging part 7a is provided. On a lower surface of the wall connecting part 4b, a coming-off prevention mechanism 8 for preventing coming-off of the pin 7 from the insertion hole 4d and connecting the lower end part of the wall 2 of the cage to the wall connecting part 4b is provided.
