Provided are an information acquiring device, which can correctly receive light projected to a target region and acquire information on the target region with high accuracy, and an object detecting device having the information acquiring device mounted thereon. An information acquiring device (1) is provided with: a laser light source (11) which projects light in a predetermined wavelength band; a projection lens (12) which projects light emitted from the laser light source (11) toward the target region; a CMOS image sensor (16) which receives reflection light reflected from the target region and outputs a signal; an imaging lens (14) which introduces reflection light to the CMOS image sensor (16); and a filter (15) which passes through light emitted from the laser light source (11).  Furthermore, the information acquiring device is provided with an actuator (50) which tilts the filter (15).  A filter control circuit (26) tilts the filter (15) so that the transmitting wavelength band is close to the wavelength band of light emitted from the laser light source (11).
