<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce possibility of chipping and cracking of a piezoelectric body when the piezoelectric body and an elastic body are bonded. <P>SOLUTION: A vibration actuator 1 has the elastic body 4 which generates a progressive vibration wave by the excitation of the piezoelectric body 3, and a moving body 7 which is in pressure-contact with the elastic body 4, and is driven by the progressive vibration wave. The method of manufacturing the vibration actuator includes: bonding a reinforcing member 9 to the piezoelectric body 3, and bonding the piezoelectric body 3 to the elastic body 4 while the reinforcing member 9 is bonded to the piezoelectric body 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
