<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize the reception quality of ACK and the reception quality of NACK. <P>SOLUTION: A scrambling part (214) multiplies a scrambling code "1" or "e<SP>-j(π/2)</SP>" to a response signal, after being modulated, and by the multiplication of the scrambling code "e<SP>-j(π/2)</SP>", makes a constellation for each of response signals rotate on a cyclic shift axis. A spread unit (215) performs a primary spread of the response signal, by using a ZAC sequence set by a control unit (209).
