<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball which is capable of decreasing carry more effectively than official balls currently used as well as achieving good control and hitting feeling as good as those of the balls for competitions and which has excellent shear and abrasion resistance and durability against repeated hitting. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball includes a core and a cover and many dimples are formed on an outer surface. An initial velocity BV of the ball is 70.0-76.0 m/s and -1.0≤(BV/BE)-(CV/CE)≤3.0 is satisfied; where BV and CV represent initial velocities (m/s) of the ball and the core respectively, which are measured by a measuring instrument of the initial velocity using the same system as drum rotation type initial velocity meters of USGA, and BE and CE represent a deflection quantity (mm) of the ball and the core respectively from a state that initial load 98 N (10 kgf) is applied to a state that a final load 1,275 N (130 kgf) is applied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
