<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile information terminal allowing complicated operation by use of touch pads. <P>SOLUTION: The touch pads are disposed on two side faces facing each other of this mobile information terminal. Scroll control is performed when performing slide operation of one touch pad, and display magnification change control or display image rotation control is performed when simultaneously performing the slide operation of the two touch pads. The display magnification change control and the display image rotation control are selectively used according to whether the two touch pads facing to each other are simultaneously performed with the slide operation in the same directions or are simultaneously performed with the slide operation in the opposite directions.
