PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle navigation apparatus that adequately specifies a usable parking area so as to guide a vehicle when the vehicle approaches a destination. SOLUTION: When an own vehicle approaches a destination that is set on the basis of map data stored in a map data storage section 30 (S102: YES), this in-vehicle navigation apparatus receives vehicle information including position information and set destination information from another vehicle positioned in a predetermined area (S107). Parking lot data are formed by specifying a usable parking area on the basis of the received vehicle information and the map data (S108), and a usable parking lot is guided on the basis of the parking lot data (S110). Since the usable parking area is specified on the basis of the vehicle information transmitted from other vehicle when the own vehicle approaches the destination, therefore, the usable parking area is adequately specified, and the own vehicle is guided to the parking area, thereby enhancing the convenience.
