PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of an abnormal sound caused by pressure reduction in gas fuel, while minimizing cost increase and size increase, in a gas fuel regulator having a metallic valve element. SOLUTION: This gas fuel regulator 1A has a pressure adjusting valve for performing valve opening-closing operation by reciprocatably sliding the substantially columnar metallic valve element 4 having the base end side supported by a diaphragm 5 along its axis in response to a pressure variation in a pressure adjusting chamber 8, and sends out the introduced gas fuel to the downstream side while reducing pressure and adjusting the gas fuel under predetermined pressure. A damping part 55 filled with a liquid agent having predetermined viscosity and exhibiting vibration damping force as a damping means of vibration, is arranged between a valve nut 41 and a diaphragm plug 51 being a part for generating an abnormal sound by contacting with each other by propagating the vibration generated in the valve element 4 caused when the gas fuel passes through the pressure adjusting valve, and damps the vibration propagated between its parts.
