PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having superior flexibility and water-absorbing properties despite having wet paper strength agent mixed in its component. SOLUTION: This absorbent article 1A includes an absorber 22, a top sheet 18 at least whose one section is formed of a liquid-permeable material and disposed to cover the surface of the absorber 22, and a back sheet 20 formed of a liquid-impermeable material and disposed to cover the back face of the absorber 22; is disposed with a sheet-like member 50 having the wet paper strength agent mixed therein, between the absorber 22 and the top sheet 18; and is formed with an embossed section 52 formed by embossing at least a portion which is applied to the wearer's genital organ and the anus out of the sheet-like member 50.
