PHARMACEUTICAL AND COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING PLGF-1

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide placental growth factor (PLGF)-containing pharmaceutical and cosmetic compositions capable of increasing angiogenesis of the cutaneous, subcutaneous and internal organ connective tissue. SOLUTION: The increase of PLGF-1 level in the skin-forming tissue especially in keratinocyte accompanies increase of local angiogenesis. The increase of PLGF-1 level in the tissue can be achieved by whole body administration or local administration of exogenous PLGF-1. The pharmaceutical and cosmetic compositions containing placental growth factor (PLGF) are suitable for the treatment of pathological or natural states benefiting from the formation or regeneration of new vessels of the skin tissue, such as scleroderma, its various manifestations or loss of hair.
