PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a transient voltage drop of a power supply circuit input section, without setting a low voltage detection threshold high or increasing a size or costs, when sharing a power amplifier among a plurality of communication systems. SOLUTION: A wireless communication apparatus includes: a power source; a power amplifier which is shared among a plurality of communication systems; a DC/DC converter for dropping or boosting a power supply voltage from the power source for supplying the voltage to the power amplifier; a bypass switch provided on a bypass for directly supplying the power supply voltage from the power source while detouring the DC/DC converter; and a control section for turning on either the DC/DC converter or the bypass switch in accordance with a communication system and supplying the power supply voltage from the power source to the power amplifier while using either the DC/DC converter or the bypass. In the case of a communication system using the bypass, the control section repeats ON/OFF of the bypass switch for a fixed period of time before starting a transmitting operation according to the communication system.
