A strainer for a sink or the like is made up of a tubular perforated portion which extends upwardly from the plug hole in line with the drain together with outwardly extending perforated flanges at the bottom and upstanding perforated walls to create a trough for catching detritus when the sink is emptied. A plug can extend down the central tubular portion to close the plug hole and frusto-conical angular adaptors can be attached to the bottom of the strainer to enable its use with various different sized plugholes. |
