In case intake valve phase is in first region between most lagged angle and CA (1), speed of relative rotation of motor output shaft and gear wheel decreases at factor R (1) of low gear to change intake valve phase. In case intake valve phase is in second region between CA (2) and most advanced angle, speed of relative rotation decreases at factor R (2) of low gear to change intake valve phase.
