PURPOSE: A broadcasting receiver for improving in-band frequency interference and a gain control method thereof are provided to control a gain value of a converter according to a predicted level, thereby improving in-band frequency interference. CONSTITUTION: A converter(200) converts a received RF signal from an antenna to a baseband signal. The converter amplifies the baseband signal by a fixed gain value. An analog to digital converter(210) converts an analog signal outputted from the converter into a digital signal. A demodulator(220) demodulates the digital signal. A gain control device(221) controls the gain value by detecting a bit error rate.
