<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus for a high-intensity discharge lamp, which prevents scattering of fragments when the high-intensity discharge lamp is broken, suppresses degradation of a silver material and an aluminum material constituting a reflecting surface, avoids deterioration with the passage of time of a component group constituting the lighting apparatus for the high-intensity discharge lamp including a lighting starting circuit, a stable lighting circuit, a power supply wire, a socket and the like, and is applicable to a high-intensity discharge lamp of a relatively small size. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting apparatus for the high-intensity discharge lamp 1 includes: a high intensity discharge lamp 3 with an arc tube 2; and a reflecting mirror 5 having an insert hole 4 to which the high intensity discharge lamp 3 is inserted. The high-intensity discharge lamp 3 includes an inner tube 6 in which the arc tube 2 is stored and an outer tube 7 in which the inner tube 6 is stored. Center axes of the inner tube 6 and the outer tube 7 in the longitudinal direction substantially coincide with a center axis of the arc tube 2 in the longitudinal direction, and the distance between the inner tube 6 and the outer tube 7 is shorter than the distance between the outer tube 7 and the insert hole 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
