PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight holding tool using a frame body having satisfactory operability, to provide a method of manufacturing a glass substrate for a recording medium using the holding tool and a method of manufacturing the recording medium. SOLUTION: In the holding tool holding the glass substrates and including a plurality of supporting members supporting the glass substrates and the frame body attaching the supporting members, the frame body has a net shape.
