<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a joint device for a floor, which can absorb different lengthwise and horizontal shaking motions of right and left floor skeletons without damaging a side wall and a joint plate, while not forming a poor-looking through-hole in the side wall, and which can be automatically returned to its original state when the shaking motions stop. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This joint device for the floor makes a leading end of the joint plate slide on a joint plate slide supporting recess. In the joint device, the end joint plate-side of the joint plate adjacent to the end joint plate abutting on the side wall of one skeleton and that of the other skeleton is supported in such a manner as to be rotatable upward and formed as an inclined plane. The end on the side of the joint plate adjacent to the end joint plate is formed as an inclined plane so as to be capable of pushing up the adjacent joint plate while a slide movement mechanism is provided between the joint plate supporting recess and the end joint plate so as to make a back end of the end joint plate slidable in the lengthwise direction. Also, an end joint plate urging means is provided to urge the end joint plate so that it can constantly abut on the side wall of the one skeleton and that of the other skeleton.
