PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wallpaper that uses an aqueous paste such as starch paste in a sticking application, hardly causes curls in coating with an aqueous paste in application and reduces sieve opening and projection on seam parts of wallpaper after application. SOLUTION: The wallpaper includes a mixed paper as a substrate sheet composed of 5-25 mass% of a core-sheath conjugate fiber having a core component being a polyethylene terephthalate and a sheath component being a polyethylene, 5-25 mass% of softwood pulp fiber and 50-90 mass% of hardwood pulp fiber and is obtained by forming a resin layer on the surface of the substrate sheet. The polyethylene of the sheath component of the core-sheath conjugate fiber is fused to adjacent fibers. The resin layer is preferably a foamed polyvinyl chloride resin layer or a foamed polyolefin-based resin layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
