PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera for determining a representative image providing high satisfaction to a user by specifying a photographing scene of each photographed image from the number of objects in the photographed image. SOLUTION: When an image is taken, a person appearance frequency file preparation part 108 records the existence of a specific face, the number of faces and a laugh degree in the photographed image in a person appearance frequency file. A representative image determination part 109 refers to the person appearance frequency file, estimates a scene when the image is taken, and determines a representative image in an image group to which the photographed image belongs.
