<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of improving ease of input operation by interlocking a first operation section with a second operation section. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes: a first operation section 130 having a display 131 for displaying a software keyboard 133 enabling a user to input characters by touching or shortcut keys 132 consisting of one or more characters enabling the user to input characters by touching; a second operation section 140 having a keyboard 142 enabling the user to input characters for the display 131 and displaceable between an exposure position where the operation section is exposed to the outside and a housing position where it is housed inside; an exposure detecting sensor 181 for detecting that the second operation section 140 is positioned at the exposure position; a connection detecting sensor 182 for detecting that the keyboard 142 is connected; a memory 161 and a software keyboard 133 for storing the shortcut keys 132; and a CPU 160 for controlling the display of the shortcut keys 132 on the display 131.
